Banglazhang Hotspring is located at the banks of Xiangbai River, about 10 km from county seat of Longling, Baoshan Municipality. There are as many as 100 mouths from which hotspring water could be seen sprouting.
Variation is the major appeal of Banglazhang Hotspring. Though sharing the same origin, the hotspring ponds exhibit differing colours and water temperatures (e.g. Sanxian Pond). Thanks to the abundant minerals contained in its spring water, Banglazhang Hotspring has outstanding therapic efficacy of some disease such as rheumatic arthritis.
Major Hotsprings in Banglazhang are Xianrenchi (Fairy Pond), Yinyangquan (Yinyang Spring), Boiling Spring (Dafeiquan) and Pearl Spring etc. What's most interesting is Yinyang Spring and Xianrenchi. The two springs of Yinyangquan, only 30 cm away from each other, exhibit sharp difference of water temperature, with one being 90°C and the other one 10°C. The colour of water in Xianrenchi appears changeable within a day; sometimes some white moss-like substance flows forth, looking like the shed hairs of bathing Fairies, thus the name.
